Thomas M. Cooley Law School President and Dean Don LeDuc (third from left) and Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero (second from right) recently announced that the downtown Lansing stadium — home to the minor league baseball team the Lansing Lugnets — will officially be named the Cooley Law School Stadium. The Lugnuts and Cooley Law School have signed an 11-year sponsorship agreement that mirrors the stadium lease between the team and the city of Lansing. The new stadium name agreement allows the baseball club and the city to evenly split the sponsorship support, totalling just under $1.5 million, over the length of the contract. ‘“We are thrilled to make this long-term investment that will benefit not only our students and employees but the entire community and region for years to come,” LeDue said. Joining LeDue and Bernero to reveal the logo for the new Cooley Law School Statium were (left to right) Big Lug, the Lugnuts mascot; Patrick Day, general manager of the Lansing Lugnuts; and Scott Keith, interim president and CEO of the Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority.
