PHOTO #1: Community Legal Resources (CLR) recently hosted its 13th annual My Community event at the N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art in Detroit. Honored as CLR’s Volunteers of the Year were (left to right) Penny Webster of Wayne State University Law School and Jennifer Oertel of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss PC. “This is a night where we celebrate all the amazing volunteer attorneys, law firms, corporations, public officials and most importantly our clients which are non-profit and community-based organizations,” said CLR Chief Executive Officer Heidi Alcott who also noted that CLR will be changing its name to Michigan Community Resources as the organization expands its services.

CLR’s Pro Bono Program Associate Samira Guyot (center) was happy to thank the firm for all its contributions to the community.
