The Federal Bar Association (FBA), Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, kicked off its 2016-2017 luncheon series with the annual “State of the Court Luncheon” on Oct. 6, at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. Providing the State of the Court address was U.S. District Court Chief Judge Denise Page Hood (center). Thanking Hood for delivering her first “State of the Court” address as chief judge was FBA President Susan Fairchild (left) of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Hood’s husband, Rev. Dr. Nicholas Hood III (right) of Plymouth United Church of Christ, also attended to hear her address.
