Department issues RFP to support juvenile justice system

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), in collaboration with the Michigan Committee on Juvenile Justice, has issued a Request for Proposal to support juveniles and the juvenile justice system.

Funds from this grant opportunity are intended to support expansion of services for youth aged 10 to 17 years in four areas:  data, diversion, drug/mental health courts, and school justice.

Eligible applicants must be local units of government — courts, law enforcement agencies, county prosecutors — that work with or come in contact with juveniles who are at risk for, or are already involved in, the court system in the sate.

Grant applications must be submitted electronically through the MI E-Grants program. Applications will be accepted through July 20, at 3 p.m.
