U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider (right), was officially sworn in during an investiture ceremony that took place recently at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. Among those on hand for the ceremony was U.S. District Court Chief Judge Denise Page Hood (left), Eastern District of Michigan. Schneider is the chief federal law enforcement official in the Eastern District of Michigan. He manages more than 245 employees including approximately 120 assistant U.S. attorneys in Detroit, Flint, and Bay City. Prior to his appointment, Schneider was the chief deputy attorney general for the State of Michigan.
